SEAS OF THE SUN AT THE VIENNA EGU

Following on from our Paris premiere where we hosted members of the public, our ESA supporters and scientists involved with the Cluster mission itself, we’re thrilled to announce we will be hosting a very special presentation of our ESA Cluster mission documentary Seas Of the Sun at next week’s European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly in Vienna.

The EGU General Assembly is Europe's largest, most prominent annual geosciences event, bringing together 20,000 scientists from across the globe to discuss Earth’s climate, energy, and resources, plus planetary exploration, and space sciences. Held annually in Vienna, the EGU General Assembly features sessions for all career stages, with a strong focus on supporting early career researchers.

Ahead of the film we’ll be hosting a panel discussion with scientists involved with the mission as well as contributors to the film at their annual GeoCinema event. The panel will be hosted by Space Rocks’ Alexander Milas, and guests will include ESA’s Arnaud Masson and Matt Taylor, Lucile Turk of the University of Helsinki, Seas of the Sun co-director Ryan Mackfall, data sonification expert Klaus Nielsen, and Napalm Death bassist Shane Embury who both contributed to the film along with Karlotta Skagfield, who composed the film’s original soundtrack.

If you’re headed to the EGU then come say hi or get in touch at info@spacerocksofficial.com We’ll post a full report when we’re back so watch this space.
